This Privacy Policy describes how Scroll Unlock (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use our mobile application and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use Scroll Unlock, we may collect or process:
- Device and app data. Such as device type, operating system version, app version, and diagnostic logs to keep the app reliable and secure.
- Usage and preferences. Such as settings you choose inside the app (for example, linked apps or goals), session metadata, and feature usage, stored locally on your device and/or on our systems if you use cloud-backed features.
- Camera and motion data (on-device). To count reps and verify form, the app may process camera frames and pose estimates on your device. We design the Service so that raw video is not uploaded for this core rep-counting flow unless we clearly disclose otherwise in the app.
- Screen Time / system selections. On supported platforms, you may authorize Apple’s Screen Time or similar system APIs so we can apply limits you configure. Those selections are governed by Apple’s (or the platform’s) privacy terms; we receive only what the operating system provides to the app.
- Account and communications. If you create an account, contact support, or subscribe to updates, we may collect identifiers, email address, and message content you send us.
- Push notifications. If you opt in, a push token may be stored so we can deliver notifications. You can turn these off in system settings.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve Scroll Unlock (including rep detection, balance tracking, and app-blocking features you enable);
- Protect security, prevent abuse, and debug issues;
- Communicate with you about the Service, if you have contacted us or opted in;
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use.
3. Sharing and processors
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with service providers that help us host infrastructure, analytics, crash reporting, or customer support, subject to contracts that limit their use. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or integrity of users or the public.
4. Retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, unless a longer period is required by law. Local data on your device remains until you delete the app or clear app data, according to your device settings.
5. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can manage many permissions (camera, notifications, Screen Time) in your device settings. To exercise other rights, contact us using the details below.
7. Children
Scroll Unlock is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
8. International transfers
If you use the Service from outside the country where our servers or providers operate, your information may be transferred and processed there, which may have different data protection rules.
9. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised policy.
